Suburban Salon Chooses the Alzheimer’s Project for 55th Anniversary Benefit Drawing
Thirty prizes for the benefit drawing were donated by members of the Tallahassee 100 Club and include a $400 gift certificate from H&H Furniture. “This cause is very important to me because of personal experience. My grandfather suffered with Alzheimer’s disease and it’s a terrible disease and very hard for families. They really need support,” said Matt Thro, owner of H&H Furniture. “When I heard about Suburban’s fundraiser for the Alzheimer’s Project, I was onboard, ready to help.”
Alzheimer’s Project, Inc. is Tallahassee’s only local agency serving families facing Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The non-profit organization relies on donations and grant funds. All services are provided to caregivers free of charge. “We are honored to be selected by Suburban Salon to be the beneficiary of this drawing,” said executive director Bill Wertman. “We depend upon donations to be able to provide services at no charge, and events like this help us to continue to be there for caregivers who have so many needs.”
