Walk & Golf Fundraisers Support the Alzheimer’s Project
Although caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia can be an overwhelming experience, you don’t have to do it alone. The Alzheimer’s Project has provided relief and guidance to families through supportive services for 28 years. Our community needs us now more than ever! Please join us at the Forget-Me-Not Walk & Cliff Hinkle Round to Remember on November 3rd and 4th.
You Can Make a Difference
You can support the mission of the Alzheimer’s Project at two upcoming events. First, join us at the annual Forget-Me-Not Walk at beautiful Cascades Park on Sunday, November 3 at 1pm. Then, golfers tee off as a two-person scramble in the Cliff Hinkle Round to Remember Golf Tournament at Capital City Country Club on Monday, November 4 at 8am.
Walkers and golfers are encouraged to register in advance. Golfers must register prior to the day of the tournament!
All funds raised from the Forget-Me-Not Walk and the Cliff Hinkle Round to Remember Golf Tournament stay local! Proceeds support families in need through the following programs and services:
- Social Club respite care, including music and exercise therapy
- Support groups for caregivers
- Project Lifesaver, a bracelet used to locate loved ones who wander
- K9 Scent Evidence: ‘Bring the Lost Home,’ a pilot project to find missing persons
- Publication of the Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Manual
- Training and educational events for caregivers
- Personal and family counseling

Forget-Me-Not-Walk
When: Sunday, November 3rd starting at 1:00pm
Where: Cascades Park
What: Family-friendly walk with entertainment such as bounce house, food trucks, Tally Mac Shack, the Mountain Dew Cloggers, rock painting and more!
Cliff Hinkle Round to Remember
When: Monday, November 4th starting at 8:00am
Where: Capital City Country Club
What: Golf tournament and lunch following with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Our services are provided at no cost to participating families, however, donations are always welcomed. As a local nonprofit, we are able to help families in need because of the generosity and support of our community. By participating in our events, you are enabling us to continue our mission!
