Social Club FAQs
Is my Loved One Eligible?
To qualify, care partners must complete a Florida Elder Affairs assessment with a case manager. These assessments take about 45 minutes and may be completed over the phone or at the Alzheimer’s Project administrative office. After this assessment, clients are assigned a respite care location and given a start date. For your loved one’s safety, please complete a consultation before attending our Social Club. Call (850)386-2778 and ask to speak with a case manager to schedule your assessment today.
What can my Loved One Expect?
Alzheimer’s Project offers person centered care at each respite location. Clients can expect opportunities to engage in diverse activities such as music and art therapy, pet therapy, guided exercise, group activities, games, intergenerational socialization, and nutritious meals.
What can Caregivers Expect?
Care Partners can expect to enjoy a well-deserved break knowing their loved one is being cared for by Alzheimer’s Project Staff. To ensure your loved one is a good fit for the program, there is a two-week trial period for each client. Currently, we are only able to offer clients one day of respite per week. Clients may be dropped off any time after 9 AM but must be picked up before 3 PM.
